For inviting us over to showcase the latest and greatest work.
We rebranded, refreshed and relaunched. Check out the new site and work. Here's to a kick-ass 2012!
Perception is excited to be creating stunning design and VFX for Columbia Picture's 2012 blockbuster, Men In Black 3. The team at Perception created a suite of forward thinking futuristic screens that push the boundaries of interface design and relay major plot points, all while literally popping off the screen. You can catch the first glimpses of Perception's work by watching the Men In Black 3 trailer available at meninblack.com
When 4 ton rocks teeter on the edge of destruction, you have to call a bold crew of rock technicians to control the chaos. And when National Geographic has a gripping new reality show, they call on Perception to craft a season's worth of dynamic promos to maximize every impact. For RockStars, Perception created an introductory spot as well as a suite of episodics, where gripping editorial is punctuated with dynamic CG rockslides and custom live-action VFX sequences further heightening the intensity. Watch the spot here and tune in to RockStars Tuesdays at 10pm on the National Geographic Channel.
On November 15th, 2001 Danny Gonzalez and Jeremy Lasky opened the doors of Perception. Now a decade later, Perception has grown into an award winning, multi-disciplinary collective specializing in design, visual effects, and branding. Perception would like to thank 10 years of clients and collaborators. We look forward to the next 10 years of exciting projects and new frontiers.
ESPN asked us to partner with them again, this time for a fully-animated spot building excitement for the Capital One Cup - a prestigious award given to the respective college men's and women's athletic departments voted the best across all sports for the collegiate year. We captured that spirit of competition and accomplishment in this inspiring and beautiful spot.
Our friends at Speed asked us to concept and shoot a series of spots promoting their broadcast of the original episodes of Pimp My Ride. We employed a forced perspective effect to really grab peoples attention, and turned the whole project around in record time - from initial idea to to final post on the first spot in a week! Check em out here: Monte Carlo, Chevelle, and Mustang.
Congratulations, Johnny Motion! You deserve it.
Speaking of Live Action, one of our biggest directorial undertakings to date is a lavish visual effects piece for the Hollywood Wax Museum. Directed by Perception's Peter Gagnon, the three minute video is a gorgeous, effects-packed tour through all the classic genres of Hollywood cinema. View the spot here.
Perception has found clients coming to them more and more not only for our design and effects expertise but also for our directing skills. We've got a host of projects under our belt now that involved Perception behind the camera. We felt it a good time to assemble a montage of that work. Click here to watch the Live Action Reel.
